By Public Transport
The Museum of Bags and Purses is easily accessible by public transport. From Amsterdam Central Station, you can take tram 9 (tram stop “Rembrandtplein”), tram 4 (tram stop “Rembrandtplein”), 16, 24 or 25 (tram stop Keizersgracht, on the Vijzelstraat) or metro routes 51, 53 of 54 (metro station Waterlooplein). All stops are within 5 minutes walk to the museum.

The easiest way to get to the museum by car is via Stadhouderskade (s100), Westeinde-Frederikspark or the Utrechtsestraat. Parking spaces can be found at the Stadhuis-Muziektheater Parking at Waterlooplein, nearby the museum. While parking on the canals is possible, it can be costly and challenging to find a free space.
It takes about ten minutes to get to the museum by bicycle from Amsterdam Central Station. You can park your bicycle on the canals. If you’d like to rent a bike for the day in Amsterdam, please contact Yellow Bike.
There are several boat stops nearby the museum. Most canal tour operators start from Amsterdam Central Station and stop at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. From there it’s a five minutes’ walk to the museum. The Canal Company has a stop on the Orange line which is a few minutes walk at stop “Rembrandtplein”. You can also take the Red or Green line to stop “Hermitage City Hall” and walk for 5 minutes.
